The Montauk Library Children’s Room has a lot of new titles to choose from! Since I’ve started here in July, I’ve been ordering new titles for children and teens. I’ve added the Ladybug Girl series by David Soman to the collection, which is the perfect picture book series for those who enjoyed Pinkalicious, Olivia and Fancy Nancy! Read all about Ladybug Girl and her adventures with her dog Bingo and her friend Bumblebee Boy – borrow a title or two today! My personal favorite, Dragon Loves Tacos, has also been added to the collection, along with other titles such as Stick and Stone, I Don’t Want to Be A Frog, Twinkle and MUCH more!
For school-aged readers, we have a lot of new chapter books, including the My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish series and we’ve added to our Big Nate, Captain Underpants, Magic Treehouse and Captain Awesome titles!
For fans of the Cupcake Diaries, the library now has the first ten books in the series, with more on the way! This is such a delicious series for girls and if you haven’t tried them you won’t be disappointed! Additional Clementine, Dork Diaries and Judy Moody titles have been added as well.
Babymouse titles have also been added, along with Big Nate Comix for graphic novel enthusiasts. Graphic novels are a great way to get reluctant readers involved and engaged in the reading process – and they are a lot of fun as well!
Finally, I’ve made a lot of additions to the young adult section, with titles including The Red Queen, We Were Liars, the Ranger’s Apprentice series, Alive, All the Bright Places, Fan Girl, Finding Audrey and many more!
