The Friends of the Montauk Library is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports and promotes the Montauk Library. Through book sales and other events, the Friends raise funds to sponsor resources and materials not covered by the Library’s annual operating budget.
The Friends also provide funds for cultural programs for all ages, including the popular Wednesday Movie Series from October to April, Museum Pass program, Health & Wellness programs and many more. In addition, the Friends also provide an inexpensive resource for gently used books through our book sales, free with donation shelf at the Library, and our “Little Free Library” located across from the Montauk post office.
You can support the Friends in a number of ways:
- Become a Member. Membership is inexpensive and provides you with advance notice of upcoming Library events.
- Renew your Membership.
- Tax-Deductible Donations.
- Visit the Friends’ Marketplace. Featuring: the new Friends of the Montauk Library 40th Anniversary 2020 calendar & the popular Images of America Montauk book.
The Friends of the Montauk Library Executive Board meets the first Thursday of every month at 1 PM. All are invited to attend.
