Cristina Fontanelli- Italian Songs Of The Sea
Soprano Cristina Fontanelli returns to the Montauk Library to present Italian Songs of the Sea/Canzoni Italiane del Mare, a beautiful musical tribute to the 500th anniversary of Verrazzano’s exploration of New York Harbor and Long Island’s South Shore. Ms. Fontanelli is well-known internationally for her recordings, appearances on TV, radio, in concert, nightclubs, and opera, as well as Off-Broadway. She will be accompanied by pianist, Alexander Chaplinskiy. The program will include beloved Italian Songbook standards such as Vieni Sul Mar, Santa Lucia, Marechiare, opera arias and contemporary ballads.
