The Friends of the Montauk Library is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports and promotes our Library. We raise funds to pay for resources and materials not covered by the Library’s budget. We do this through Book Sales and other events.
We provide funds for programs and sponsor our own programs at the Library. Our most popular program is the off season “movies@the library” on Wednesday nights from October to April. We also provide an inexpensive resource for books in the community through our book sales, free with donation books at the Library, and, coming soon, our “Little Library Box” to be located in town.
You can support us by answering our call for volunteers for our fund raising events and/or joining our organization. Membership is inexpensive and provides you with advance notice of upcoming events.
Ask at the Circulation Desk for information about joining. Please click here for a PDF version of the membership form which you can print and mail in, or you may use the online form.
The Friends Executive Board
Our executive board meets the first Thursday of every month in the downstairs meeting room at 1PM. All are invited to attend and participate.
